Product Introduction

Incubator for plant cultivation INS-96 (Only sale in Japan)

Check this product specification

The INS-96 controls four essential environmental factors - light, temperature, humidity, and CO2 concentration - for plant cultivation and tissue culture.
Employing LED as the light source, this system can provide flexible control of the quality of light from wavelength to pulse emission that is not easy to control by fluorecents lamps or high-pressure sodium lamps. Additionally, we've developed software that allows for intensive supervision of multiple units with one PC in order to provide plant cultivation researchers with full capabilities.
  • Incubator [INS-96]
  • CO2 concentration control unit [ING-2000](Option)
  • LED Lighting panel [INL series](Option)

Optical Environment Control with LED
Color (Wavelength) Selectable
You may select emitting color(s) (wavelength) appropriate to your research subject since emission spectrum of an LED is narrower than that of other light sources such as fluorescent lamps or high-pressure sodium lamps. Up to four colors, which can be composed in a quantitative ratio of 3:1:1:1, are selectable.

The LED spectrum is mostly compatible with the light-absorption peaks of pigments related to plant photosynthesis.

Chlorophyll is related to photosynthesis (production of organic matter), mainly absorbing red light. With photomorphogenesis, however, phytochrome is involved, which is influenced by red, far-red and blue light. The relation between plants and green, ultraviolet or various other lights - including the above reactions - has been studied and elucidated.
Pulsed Emission by Frequency
It is known that pulsed light irradiation increases the efficiency of photosynthesis.
LED can light in pulse because LED responds quickly.
Taking advantage of this characteristic, various waveforms can be modulated.
INL series
Pulsed Emission by Duty Ratio
The duty ratio per color can be set.
In other words, the ON/OFF ratio in one wavelength cycle can be changed for each color within a panel.

Duty ratio
Lighting intensity Control by voltage level
Since LED are microscopic illuminants, their brightness changes with a slight difference in voltage. The luminous power of each color can therefore be minutely controlled with voltage adjustments. This excellent control function allows for the irradiation of only the required light in the necessary quantity while conserving energy.
Smart Control of Three Factors
Moderate Temperature Control
Peltier device is employed for moderate temperature control.
High Accuracy Humidity Control
Drying functions by a Peltier device and mist supply with ON/OFF control are equipped.
CO2 Control with Solenoid Valve
An optional CO2 control unit can be installed.

The light source is placed outside a thermostatic chamber, which prevents emissions from thermally influencing in a chamber.
Robust Support
Intensive Control with only one PC
Up to four units are centrally controlled by one PC, and the units can be according to your plans.
Easy Scheduling
The four environmental factors can be set up and changed individually according to parameters, and sequence programs in units can be installed on time schedule. Additionally, the control status is represented in graph form, and the data is saved in CSV form.
