CCS, the expert, is pursuing the possibility of LED lighting

What is LED?
LED
LED (Light Emitting Diode) is the light source that emits light when electric current is passed through semiconductor.
The size of LED' is generally approx. 3 - 5 mm.

LED Lights
CCS is working on making Lights utilized LED's characteristics.
Major characteristics of LED lights are following.
CMRŽæ•t‚¯—á Flexibility
As a LED light consists of a collection of individual LEDs, it is providing much greater shape-flexibility compared with other lights and enabling to concentrate necessary light on necessary area.
Energy Conservation
Power consumption will be drastically reduced.
Long Service Life
Depending on operating environment, LED keeps illuminating for tens of thousands of hours.
Low Thermal Irradiation
As LED lights contain little heat rays, work pieces are free from damage by radiated heat.
Flicker-Free
LED lights direct current lighting system, so it does not flicker like general fluorescent lamps.

LED Color
Blue, green, yellow, red...
Luminous colour differs depending on the combination of compounds.
Various LEDs have been developed not only in the visible light (light which detectable by human eyes) range, but also in ultraviolet or infrared ranges
Ultraviolet rays (365 nm) ~ Infrared rays (1550 nm)

Life of LED
Since LED emits by semiconductor device, it is said that the service life is semi-permanent.
However, LED's life is affected on the way of use or operating environment.

Heat radiation from LED
LED in visible light range has no infrared rays, and it does not radiate heat at the same direction of luminescence. Therefore, an object on stage is free from damage by irradiated heat.
Infrared rays...Electromagnetic waves in

The object might be damaged if emitting light contains much "Heat waves."

Fluorescent LampHalogen Lamp

Flickering of LED
Work in the environment where flickering irritates the vision system .

Direct Currnet

Light Emitting Diode is turned on by direct current.
That is, since a lighting state continues
because fixed current flows, it does not flicker.

Alternating Currnet On the other hand, the common fluorescent lamps turned on by alternating current. In order to repeat electric discharge in accordance with power supply frequency, the change in light (light and darkness) has arisen. Especially, when the cases of low circumference temperature, or the life have approached, it flickers slow enough that human vision system can respond.
