We have taken a proactive stance on environmental problems in terms of a critical theme of management, as a company that is based in the environmental city of Kyoto where Kyoto Protocol was adopted, and expands our presence around the world. Specifically, we are actively promoting the observance of environmental laws and conventions, the thrift and effective utilization of resources and energy in business activities, and the reduction of environmental load resulting from the use of products that we manufacture.

| Cadmium |
100ppm Min |
| Hexavalent chromium |

(Items that are exempted in the RoHS Directive are excluded from these standards.)
[What is the RoHS Directive?]
The RoHS Directive is short for the "restriction of use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment." As a directive, it restricts the use of specific hazardous substances for new electrical and electronic equipment marketed in the EU on or after July 1, 2006, and restricts the use of six substances, which are (1) lead, (2) mercury, (3) cadmium, (4) hexavalent chromium, (5) polybrominated biphenyl (PBB), and (6) polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE).
1-2 We have further expanded applicable substances of the RoHS Directive and have formulated "CCS Green Procurement Guidelines" as a standard to take the lead in procuring components and materials with the environment taken into account.
[CCS Green Procurement Guidelines]
In these Guidelines, we prescribe items and control standards for the reduction of environmental loads of procured 24 substances (*Data 1) and strives to select goods of low environmental load. In addition, we classify particularly harmful chemical substances and other environmental load carrying substances into level A and level B (*Data 2), and manages use and storage voluntary.

- We strive to establish and maintain its environmental management system in conformity with requirements of ISO14001 in order to continually control environmental concerns in accordance with our environmental policy and effectively promote environmental conservation activities.
We will aggressively direct efforts at offering solutions to environmental issues by supplying our eco-friendly LED lighting.
