Data Comparisons between PFB2-series Light Sources and 100-W Halogen Lamps
Brightness Spectral Characteristics
*The light intensity was set to 100%, a Straight Light Guide with a connecting diameter of 8 mm was attached, and the illumination values at various light working distances (LWDs) from the end of the fiber were measured (reference values only).
Linearity Light Distribution Characteristics
*A Straight Light Guide with a connecting diameter of 8 mm was attached and the illumination values at a position 50 mm from the end of the fiber were measured (reference values only). *The light intensity was set to the maximum value and a Straight Light Guide with a connecting diameter of 8 mm was attached. (The same fiber was used.)
Stability Case Temperature
*The light intensity was set to 100%, a Straight Light Guide with a connecting diameter of 8 mm was attached, and the illumination values at a position 50 mm from the end of the fiber were measured (reference values only). *Temperatures were measured using a thermograph one hour after continuous lighting was turned ON and using a light intensity of 100% (reference values only).
Costs Comparisons between PFB2-series Light Sources and 100-W Halogen Lamps
Power Consumption Lifetime
*These are calculated values until the light output decreases to 70% at a light intensity of 100% and an ambient temperature of 25°C (reference values only).
Running Costs Maintenance Man-hours
*This is a comparison between the PFB2 (PFB) and a 100-W halogen lamp when they are lit for 24 hours with the light intensity set to the maximum value. Calculations were made using an electricity rate of 9 yen per 1 kWh/month and do not include basic charges. The halogen lamp was periodically replaced. *This comparison illustrates the light output variations between the HYPER LED Light Source until its lifetime ends, and a halogen lamp replaced every 1,000 hours.
Significant cuts can be made in CO2 emissions.

Power
consumption
Daily power consumption:
15 W × 24 h = 360 Wh
Annual power consumption =
360 Wh/day × 365 days = 131,400 Wh
Daily power consumption:
20 W × 24 h = 480 Wh
Annual power consumption
= 480 Wh/day × 365 days = 175,200 Wh
Daily power consumption:
100 W × 24 h = 2,400 Wh
Annual power consumption
= 2,400 Wh/day × 365 days = 876,000 Wh
Annual
CO2
emissions
131.4 kWh × 0.555 kg CO2/kWh
= 72.93 kg CO2
175.2 kWh × 0.555 kg CO2/kWh
= 97.24 kg CO2
876 kWh × 0.555 kg CO2
= 486.18 kg CO2
*CO2 emissions are calculated by multiplying the electricity consumption by an emission coefficient of 0.555 kg CO2 per kWh.
